Why is it that when you are stuck at “what should we cook today” the answer is always “make some aloo!” Potatoes are like this…extremely popular and have multipurpose usage.

And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Potato Crisps With A Difference Recipe

  • Potatoes parboiled 4 large

  • Butter 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

Method

Step 1

Pat dry the potatoes. Heat the Grill Pan. Prick the potato skin in several places, wrap potatoes tightly in aluminium foil and place in the pan.

Step 2

Cook on low heat for thirty minutes, turning occasionally. Once done, unwrap foil and halve potatoes lengthways. Cut into strips. Melt butter in the hot pan and add salt and pepper powder. Mix well.

Step 3

Thread the potatoes onto skewers and place in the sizzling butter. Grill for five minutes and serve hot.
