Ingredients list for Porotha
- 2 cups Wholewheat Flour
- to taste Ghee
- a pinch Soda bicarbonate
- 3/4 cup Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Yogurt
Method
- Sieve the flour and salt. Leave aside a little for dusting while rolling .Add the soda bicarbonate, two tablespoons of ghee and yogurt and knead into a soft dough using sufficient water.
- Divide the dough into twelve equal portions and roll them into balls. Roll out each ball using flour. Apply half a tablespoon of melted ghee, fold twice to make a triangle.
- Roll out again to a medium thickness Heat a tawa and bake the parothas on both sides and then shallow fry in ghee till crispy brown on both the sides.
- Serve hot with cholar dal or any vegetable of your choice.
