Ingredients for Paneer Orange Cake Recipe

  • Cottage Cheese grated 1 cup

  • Orange Rind grated 1 tablespoon

  • Orange juice ¼ cup

  • Orange marmalade 2 tablespoon

  • Eggs 3

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1 cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Refined flour (maida) 1½ cups +

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for greasing

  • Icing sugar for dusting


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Break eggs in a bowl, add sugar and beat with an electric beater till fluffy. Add orange rind, vanilla essence, cottage cheese, lemon juice and orange juice and continue to beat for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Sift together refined flour and baking powder into the bowl and mix well.

Step 4

Grease a cake tin with oil and dust with dry flour. Pour the cottage cheese-orange mixture into it and tap lightly.

Step 5

Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the cake tin from oven, cool down to room temperature. Remove the cake from the tin and place on a plate. Spread orange marmalade evenly over it, dust icing sugar on top, cut into wedges and serve immediately.
