Ingredients list for Palak Aloo

  • 2 Large bunch Spinach
  • 3 large Potatoes 1 inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 large pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat butter in a pan, add asafoetida and cumin seeds . When cumin seeds begin to change colour,
  2. add chopped green chillies. Stir-fry for a minute. Add spinach, potatoes and salt.
  3. Stir, cover and cook over moderate heat for about ten minutes. Serve hot.
