Whole wheat flour is slow roasted in ghee till it is light and fragrant, then mixed with castor sugar and flavoured with orange rind and cinnamon. Ingredients for Orange and Cinnamon Panjeeri Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 250 grams

  • Ghee ½ cup

  • Orange rind 2

  • Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 150 grams

  • Pistachios 4 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add the wheat flour, mix and sauté on low heat till fragrant, stirring continuously.

Step 2

Remove from heat and cool completely. Add the castor sugar, orange rind and cinnamon powder and mix well.

Step 3

Serve or store in an airtight container for about a week.
