Ingredients list for Oats Apple Crumble

  • 3 cup Oats
  • 4 Large Apples
  • 1 cup Castor sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 2 tablespoons Raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups Butter
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 2 tablespoons Almond slivers

Method

  1. Preheat oven at 180° C.
  2. Core and roughly chop apples, place them in a bowl, add castor sugar, cinnamon powder and raisins, mix well and set aside.
  3. Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add brown sugar, mix well and cook.
  4. Add honey, mix well and cook till the sugar is fully dissolved.
  5. Transfer the butter mixture into a bowl, add oats, flour and mix well into a crumbly mixture.
  6. Spread the apple mixture in a baking dish and top it up with the oats mixture spreading evenly. Sprinkle almond slivers on top.
  7. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for fifteen to twenty minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
