Ingredients for Molten Marble Cake Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) ½ cup

  • Dark chocolate chopped 1 cup

  • Peanut butter 8 tablespoons

  • Butter ½ cup

  • Eggs 4

  • Powdered sugar 6 tablespoons

  • Cocoa powder 1 tablespo + for dusting

  • Baking powder ½ teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.Line a baking tray with individual silicon cupcake moulds.

Step 2

Fill a piping bag with peanut butter.

Step 3

Combine chocolate and butter in a microwave proof bowl and melt in microwave for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and mix well.

Step 4

Break eggs into another bowl. Add powdered sugar and whisk with an electric beater. Add melted chocolate-butter mixture and whisk.

Step 5

Sieve together flour, cocoa powder and baking powder into the egg mixture and fold in well to make a smooth batter.

Step 6

Half fill the cupcake moulds with this batter and pipe out some peanut butter in the center. Pour remaining batter on top filling ¾ of the moulds.

Step 7

Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Step 8

Place a fork on one side of a serving platter, dust some cocoa powder on top and remove the fork to create its impression.

Step 9

Place the moulds inverted on the prepared platter, demould and serve hot.
