Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Mini Pepperoni Pizza Recipe

  • Dough for pizza 200 grams

  • Pizza sauce For topping

  • Pepperonis as required

  • Refined flour (maida) for dusting

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Yellow capsicum cut into small pieces ½ medium

  • Green capsicum cut into small pieces ½ medium

  • Red capsicum cut into small pieces ½ medium

  • Mozzarella cheese 200 grams

  • Dried oregano to sprinkle

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Preheat oven to180º C.

Step 2

Divide the dough into equal portions. Dust the worktop with some flour, transfer the dough and roll out each portion to a thin sheet. .Cut the sheet into roundels witha medium sized cookie cutter.

Step 3

Dust a baking tray with some flour and arrange the roundels on it.

Step 4

Spread some pizza sauce on each roundel. Put some onion, yellow capsicum, capsicum and red capsicum on top. Grate some cheese on top, place some pepperonis and sprinkle some dried oregano, crushed peppercorns and salt. Grate some more cheese on top.

Step 5

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake till the base gets cooked and cheese turns golden.

Step 6

Serve hot.
