Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Mango Juice Recipe

  • Ripe mangoes peeled and chopped 2

  • Raw mango peeled and chopped 1

  • Sugar 1/2 cup


Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan, add sugar 1 cup water and cook, stirring, till the sugar dissolves completely.

Step 2

Put ripe mangoes and raw mangoes in a pressure cooker, add 2 cups water, cover and cook under pressure till 4-5 whistles are given out.

Step 3

Open the lid when the pressure reduces completely and blend the mixture with an electric hand blender till smooth.

Step 4

Add sugar syrup and mix well. Add 2 cups chilled water and mix well.

Step 5

Pour the juice into individual serving bottles, chill in the refrigerator and serve chilled.
