You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Kookoo with Potato Recipe

  • Eggs 5

  • Potatoes peeled and grated 3 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh parsley


Step 1

Break eggs into a bowl, add salt, black pepper powder and beat with an electric beater.

Step 2

Add baking powder and beat again. Squeeze the grated potatoes and add to the eggs. Heat oil in a non stick pan, pour 2 ladle full of egg mixture and cook on medium heat.

Step 3

Chop parsley finely and sprinkle over the eggs and press gently.Cook till the underside turns a light golden. Flip over and cook till the other side gets similarly cooked. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
