Ingredients list for Khuskhus Kheer

  • 1/2 cup Poppy Seeds soaked 3-4 hours
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 3-4 Almonds slivered
  • 3-4 Pistachios slivered

Method

  1. Drain the water from the soaked poppy seeds and grind to a smooth paste.
  2. Heat a kadai. Add milk along with the ground paste and cook stirring continuously. When the mixture comes to a boil, add sugar and green cardamom powder allow it to cook until completely done.
  3. Garnish with almonds and pistachios and serve hot.
