How to make Greek Style Yogurt Chicken -

Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Greek Style Yogurt Chicken Recipe

  • Boneless Chicken breast 4

  • Skimmed Milk yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic,ground 8-10 cloves

  • Olive oil 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Paprika powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns,crushed 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh parsley,chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves,chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh mint leaves,chopped 10-12

  • Oil 1 teaspoon

  • Black olives 6-8

Method

Step 1

Make three slits on each chicken breast. Hang the skimmed milk yogurt in a muslin cloth for about ten to fifteen minutes to drain away the excess liquid.

Step 2

Whisk the thick yogurt and set aside. Mix lemon juice with yogurt, garlic paste, olive oil, paprika powder, crushed peppercorns, salt, half the parsley, coriander and mint leaves. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture and refrigerate for an hour. Heat a non-stick shallow pan and brush it with the oil.

Step 3

Add the chicken breasts and sear them on high heat for one minute on either side. Reduce heat, cover and cook turning the pieces occasionally for uniform cooking and browning, for eight to ten minutes or until completely cooked. Add the black olives, stir and transfer into a serving dish.

Step 4

Garnish with the remaining parsley, coriander and mint leaves and serve hot.
