Ingredients for Gingerbread Christmas Tree - skk Recipe

  • Refined flour 175 grams

  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dried ginger powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Castor sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Butter melted 1/2 cup

  • Golden syrup 3-4 tablespoons

  • White chocolate melted to garnish

  • Colourful sprinklers to garnish

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Take refined flour in a mixing bowl, add baking soda, ginger powder, green cardamom powder and castor sugar and mix well.

Step 3

Add butter and mix with a spoon. Add golden syrup and mix with fingertips to form a dough.

Step 4

Dust flour on worktop and roll out the dough.

Step 5

Cut out Christmas trees with a Christmas tree shaped cookie cutter.

Step 6

Grease a baking tray and dust it with some dry flour. Place the cookies on it, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Step 7

Place the cookies on a serving platter. Put the melted white chocolate in a piping bag and pipe out on the cookies in a zig-zag design, Sprinkle colourful sprinklers over them and serve.
