Ingredients list for Dumwala Gosht
- 900 grams Boneless Mutton 1 inch cubes
- 6 tablespoons Yogurt
- 2 large Onions chopped
- 6 cloves Garlic chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Dry ginger powder (soonth)
- 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 1/4 cups Yogurt whisked
Method
- Apply salt to the mutton cubes and keep aside. Heat oil in a thick-bottomed vessel and sauté the mutton pieces till well browned all round. Drain and keep aside.
- Add onions and garlic to the remaining hot oil and sauté till golden brown. Add browned meat, ginger powder, red chilli powder, salt and black pepper powder.
- Mix well and stir for two to three minutes. Add yogurt and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid and seal the lid with dough.
- Lower the heat and simmer for about an hour or till the meat is well done and tender. Serve hot.
