Ingredients for Date and Walnut Halwa - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Dates seeded and chopped 2 cups

  • Walnuts chopped 12-15

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Khoya / Mawa grated 1

  • Castor sugar 1/2 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Silver varq to garnish


Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add dates and sauté for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Add milk and continue to cook until dates are soft and pulpy.

Step 3

Add khoya, walnuts, sugar and green cardamom powder and mix.

Step 4

Cook, stirring continuously, for 10-15 minutes or till almost dry.

Step 5

Transfer into serving bowls, garnish with silver varq and serve hot.
