And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Cuban Potatoes Recipe

  • Potatoes boiled with skin 8 medium

  • Processed cheese 3

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Processed cheese 50 grams

  • Red chilli flakes 1/4 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Halve the potatoes. Chop spring onion bulbs and the greens.Press potato halves lightly and put them in a baking dish.

Step 2

Put the spring onions with the greens over them. Sprinkle salt and pepper powder. Grate cheese on top, sprinkle crushed red chillies. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
