Ingredients list for Cream Cheese Pound Cake
- 225 grams Cream cheese at room temperature
- 3 cups+ fo Refined flour (maida)
- 1½ cups + Butter at room temperature
- 3 cups Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 6 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour.
- Cream together butter and cream cheese till smooth and light. Add castor sugar and beat till fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
- Add flour and salt and fold in till well combined to make a smooth batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared tin and tap lightly. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for sixty to seventy-five minutes.
- Remove from oven, cool and remove the cake from the tin.
- Cut into wedges and serve.
