Ingredients list for Cinnamon Chilli Chocolate Cookies
- 2¼ cups Refined flour (maida)
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon powder
- ½ teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ cup Cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- ½ teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 cup Unsalted butter room temperature
- 1¾ cups Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 large Eggs
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt into a bowl.
- Cream together butter and 1½ cups castor sugar in another bowl till light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and beat well. Add flour mixture and beat till well combined into a dough.
- Mix together remaining castor sugar, cinnamon powder and chilli powder in a third bowl.
- Divide the dough into 16 equal portions and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place them on the lined tray, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, turning them once halfway through. Remove from oven and cool.
- Serve or store in an airtight container.
