This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Aug 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Chicken breast Cuisine Bengali Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 3.30-4 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Cholar Daler Murgi 1 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal) soaked in water for 3-4 hours 750 grams Chicken breast cut into small pieces on the bone 2 tablespoons Mustard oil filtered 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 2-3 large Onions finely chopped to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Ginger paste 1 tablespoon Garlic paste 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped 4 Green chillies 3 Raw mangoes chopped with skin 1 1/2 teaspoons Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Advertisment Heat oil in non stick pan till smoking point. Lower heat and add coriander seeds, cumin seeds and onions and sauté till onions are well browned. Place chicken in a bowl, add salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder and 1 tsp red chilli powder and mix well. Add tomatoes to the pan, mix and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add green chillies, chana dal and ¼ cup water. Mix well, cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add chicken, raw mangoes, salt, remaining red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder and 1 cup water. Mix well, cover and cook till chicken is soft. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
