Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Breast Veronique Recipe

  • Chicken breast boneless 4 medium

  • White pepper powder to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 2 teaspoon

  • FOR SAUCE

  • Green grapes seedless 100 grams

  • Brown sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Sweet lime juice 1 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed 10

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Marinate the chicken breasts in a mixture of white pepper powder, salt and Worcestershire sauce preferably in a refrigerator until required. Halve half the grapes and puree the rest.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the marinated chicken breasts in it and cook on medium heat for two to three minutes, turning them once.

Step 3

Reduce heat, cover and continue cooking for three to four minutes or till they turn golden brown and crisp on both sides. Set aside.

Step 4

Heat brown sugar and sweet lime juice in another non-stick pan. Cook till the sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in grape puree. Season with salt and cracked peppercorns.

Step 5

Mix cornflour in quarter cup of water and stir into the sauce. Cook stirring continuously. Place the cooked chicken in the pan and stir in the halved grapes.

Step 6

Simmer for two minutes and serve hot.
