Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots stretching to antiquity.  Italian cuisine is simple and a number of dishes having only four to eight ingredients.  They rely mostly on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate preparation.

Ingredients for Cheesy Spiral Pasta Recipe

  • White Spiral Pasta boiled 1 cup

  • Parmesan Cheese Slices boiled 1 cup

  • Parmesan cheese slices 5-6

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Fresh basil leaves 1/4 cup

  • Garlic cloves 8-10

  • Tomato concasse 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed red chillies 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh cream 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and saute for 2 minutes.

Step 2

Grind ¼ cup basil leaves, garlic cloves and 2 tbsps tomato concasse. Add this to the pan and mix well.

Step 3

Add white and spinach spiral pastas, remaining tomato concasse, salt, crushed black peppercorns, crushed red chillies and fresh cream and mix well.

Step 4

Add parmesan slices and mix well. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with few fresh basil leaves and grated parmesan cheese and serve hot.
