Ingredients for Cheddar Sausage Bread Roll - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Cheddar cheese block as required

  • Processed cheese slices 3

  • Chicken sausages 2

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 1/4 cups for dusting

  • Salt 1 pinches

  • Fresh yeast 5 grams

  • Castor sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Butter melted for brushi

  • Tomato ketchup to serve


Step 1

Take refined flour in a bowl, add salt, mix well and set aside. In another bowl, add yeast, castor sugar and ¼ cup lukewarm water. Mix well and set aside to activate.

Step 2

Add the activated yeast to the flour mixture along with sufficient water and knead to soft dough.

Step 3

Add oil and knead to smooth dough. Cover with a cling wrap and set aside to prove.

Step 4

Preheat the oven at 180º C.

Step 5

Knock back the dough, and dust the worktop with some flour. Place dough on it and roll out into a large disc. Brush some butter on top.

Step 6

Grate cheese on top and spread evenly. Place cheese slices on one side of the disc. Top with sausages on it.

Step 7

Roll tightly into a cylinder and seal by folding the edges and sides inwards.

Step 8

Place the bread roll on a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Step 9

Bring the tray out of the oven, cut the bread into slices and arrange them on a serving platter.

Step 10

Serve immediately with a bowl of tomato ketchup.
