Mutton chops cooked in green chutney, dipped in egg batter and breadcrumbs and deep fried. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Chaap Fry

  • 1/2 kilogram Mutton chops
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Green chutney
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 4 Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Clean and wash the mutton chops. Flatten them with the side of a knife. Pressure cook chops with green chutney, salt, turmeric powder and 1 cup of water.
  2. When cooked, remove and sprinkle with garam masala and lemon juice. Beat the egg with red chilli powder, salt and a tablespoon of water.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai. Dip the chops in the egg batter, roll in the bread crumb and then deep fry.
