Ingredients for Carrot Tomato Puris Recipe

  • Whole Wheat Flour 2 cups

  • Tomato Puree pureed tomatoes should be ripe 2 medium

  • Carrot grated 3 tablespoons

  • Oil to deep fry 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Extract juice of carrots and mix with tomato puree. Strain. Mix in three tablespoons oil, salt and red chilli powder into the flour. Knead into a medium stiff dough using the carrot-tomato mixture.

Step 2

Divide into lemon sized portions and roll out into small puris. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry puris. Remove and drain onto an absorbent paper.
