Ingredients list for Carrot Tomato Puris

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 2 medium Tomato Puree pureed tomatoes should be ripe
  • 3 tablespoons Carrot grated
  • 3 tablespoons Oil to deep fry
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder

Method

  1. Extract juice of carrots and mix with tomato puree. Strain. Mix in three tablespoons oil, salt and red chilli powder into the flour. Knead into a medium stiff dough using the carrot-tomato mixture.
  2. Divide into lemon sized portions and roll out into small puris. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry puris. Remove and drain onto an absorbent paper.
