Ingredients list for Carrot Tomato Puris
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 medium Tomato Puree pureed tomatoes should be ripe
- 3 tablespoons Carrot grated
- 3 tablespoons Oil to deep fry
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
Method
- Extract juice of carrots and mix with tomato puree. Strain. Mix in three tablespoons oil, salt and red chilli powder into the flour. Knead into a medium stiff dough using the carrot-tomato mixture.
- Divide into lemon sized portions and roll out into small puris. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry puris. Remove and drain onto an absorbent paper.
