Ingredients list for Basic Pizza Bread

  • 1 1/2 cup Refined flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil

Method

  1. Heat one-fourth cup of water till warm. Mix yeast with warm water and sugar in a bowl and set aside until frothy. Add yeast mixture to the refined flour.
  2. Add salt and oil and mix well. Add approximately half a cup of water and knead into a soft dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and leave to rest in a warm place for about forty-five minutes, or until the dough is approximately double in size.
  3. Knead the dough again, cover with a damp cloth, and leave to stand for ten to fifteen minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease a baking tray. Divide pizza dough into two portions. Roll out each portion into six-inch rounds. Prick all over with a fork. Place the pizza bases on the baking tray and bake for eight minutes.
