Ingredients for Banana Fritters a La Sri Lanka Recipe

  • Banana 4

  • Eggs 1

  • Milk (Cow's milk) 3/4 cup

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) a cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • Honey for drizzling


Step 1

Break the egg and put into a bowl, add milk, wheat flour and salt and whisk to make a smooth batter.

Step 2

Peel and cut bananas into thin strips.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.

Step 4

Dip banana strips in the batter, slide into hot oil till crisp and deep-fry till golden brown.

Step 5

Arrange them on a serving platter, drizzle honey and serve hot.
