Ingredients list for Atte ka Halwa

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1 cup Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Semolina
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashewnuts) finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add wheat flour, mix and saute for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  2. Add semolina, mix and cook till dark golden brown, stirring continuously. Add sugar, mix and cook till it melts and mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Add 4 cups hot water, mix and cook till the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add mixed nuts and cardamom powder and mix well. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  5. Transfer into individual serving bowls and serve at room temperature.
