Ingredients list for Acharya Khichdi
- 1 cup Rice soaked
- 3/3 cup Split green gram with skin soaked
- 1/2 medium Carrot, 1/2 inch cubes
- 1 medium Potato, 1/2 inch cubes
- 4-5 French beans, 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 medium Tomatoes, 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 4 Cloves
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- to taste Salt
Method
- In a large microwave casserole, place rice, moong dal, carrot, potato, French beans, tomato, ghee, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, salt and four cups of water.
- Stir once, cover and cook on Microwave HIGH (100%) for twenty minutes. Serve hot.
