Ingredients
- 2 cups full fat milk
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Method
- Heat milk in a wide non-stick pan. Add sugar and mix well. Cook till the sugar melts while stirring continuously.
- Once the sugar has melted, continue to cook till it caramelizes and the mixture thickens, again stirring continuously.
- Switch the heat off, add baking soda and mix well. The mixture will turn foamy, let it settle completely.
- Allow it to cool down to room temperature.
- Strain the condensed milk into a glass jar, allow it to cool completely before covering it with a lid.
- Use as required. You can store it refrigerated for up to 5-6 days and use as required.
