Ingredients for Wonton Cups-Cook Smart Recipe

  • Wonton sheets 8

  • Spring onion bulbs 2

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) 150 grams

  • Sweet red chilli sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Brown sugar 2 teaspoons

  • Vinegar 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Sesame oil 1 1.2 teaspoons

  • Fresh coriander sprigs a few threads

  • Black sesame seeds toasted 1/2 teaspo for garnish

  • Olive oil for sprayi

  • Chives 4


Step 1

Heat a Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT).

Step 2

Roughly chop spring onion bulbs. Cut cottage cheese into small cubes.

Step 3

Mix together red chilli sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and sesame oil in a bowl.

Step 4

Finely chop coriander sprigs and add to the bowl, mix well.

Step 5

Add chopped spring onion bulbs and cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Add sesame seeds and mix well.

Step 6

Spray olive oil into aluminium muffin moulds, place the wonton sheets in them and press so that they stick. Spray some more olive oil on top.

Step 7

Put prepared moulds in the Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT), cover and cook till the wonton cups turn golden and crisp.

Step 8

Chop chives.

Step 9

Remove the moulds from the Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT), demould and cool the cups.

Step 10

Place the cups on a serving platter. Spoon in the cottage cheese mixture into them, garnish with chopped chives and sesame seeds and serve immediately.
