Ingredients list for Turichi Gode Varan
- 1/2 cup Split Pigeon Pea
- 2 tablespoons Jaggery
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
Method
- Wash and cook the tur dal till fully cooked. Combine it with jaggery and mix well. Cook over low heat, add a little water and salt and bring to a boil. Take it off the heat.
- As an option, a tempering of ghee, asafoetida and turmeric powder could be given but tur dal is preferred without any tempering.
