Ingredients list for Tricoloured Phirni

  • 200 grams Broken rice soaked
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 100 grams Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup Fresh kiwi crush
  • 1/2 teaspoon Rose water
  • 1/4 cup Fresh orange crush
  • 2 tablespoons Slivered pistachios
  • 6-8 Almonds blanched, peeled and slivered
  • Few strands of saffron

Method

  1. Wash the rice and grind it to make fine paste.
  2. Boil milk in a non stick pan and add ground rice paste and cook on slow fire stirring constantly.
  3. When the mixture is thick, add sugar and cardamom powder and divide into three portions.
  4. In one portion, add kiwi crush, the second, add orange crush And the third, add rose water.
  5. Set the three portions in three moulds and refrigerate. Place three cold and set moulds in a platter.
  6. Garnish the platter with pistachios, almonds and saffron.
