Ingredients list for Tofu and Paneer Bhurji

  • 200 grams Tofu (bean curd) , grated
  • 200 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) , grated
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 medium Onion , finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 medium Tomato , fienly chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves , chopped
  • to garnish Fresh coriander sprig

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and sauté till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till onion turns a light golden
  2. Add tomato, mix and sauté till soft. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin powder, mix and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add 3-4 tablespoons water, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add cottage cheese and tofu, mix and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add salt, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot.
