Ingredients
- 8 chicken lollipops
- 2 tablespoons Mirin
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ½ tablespoon blended sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 1 tablespoon garlic finely chopped
- 2 spring onion bulbs finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon corn flour slurry
- 2 spring onion greens chopped + for garnishing
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add chicken lollipops and cook on high heat till golden brown from all sides, turning sides in between. Remove the pieces from the heat and transfer them into a bowl.
- In another bowl, add brown sugar, mirin, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil and sake and mix well. Set aside.
- Heat the same pan add garlic and spring onion bulbs and sauté for 1 minute.
Add the prepared sauce to the pan and mix well. Add the chicken pieces and toss well. Add corn flour slurry. Mix well and cook till the sauce thickens. - Add chopped spring onion greens and toss. Take the pan off the heat.
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with spring onion greens and chopped fresh red chillies.
