Ingredients list for Sweet Roti
- 1 1/2 cups Whole wheat flour (atta)
- 8 tablespoons Jaggery (gur) grated
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (til)
- 2-3 tablespoons Ghee
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan, add grated jaggery and two tablespoons water and cook on low heat till the jaggery melts. Remove from heat and cool.
- Mix flour, melted jaggery, sesame seeds, ghee, salt and sufficient water in a bowl and knead to make a stiff dough.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll out each portion into five inch diameter rotis.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and cook the rotis, one by one, on medium heat, turning sides, till equally golden on both sides.
- Apply some ghee on the rotis and serve.
