Ingredients list for Steamed Tofu with Chicken Mince
- 75 grams Tofu
- 100 grams Chicken mince
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons Cornflour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Small broccoli
- 4 teaspoons Sesame oil
- to taste Black pepper powder
Method
- Cut tofu into small cubes.
- Take chicken mince in a bowl, add salt, soy sauce, cornflour and egg and mix well.
- Heat 1½ cups water in a wide non-stick pan. Line a bamboo steamer with banana leaves.
- Take a porcelain bowl that will fit into the steamer. Put half the tofu in the bowl, top it with chicken mince mixture and put the remaining tofu over it.
- Cut broccoli into small florets and spread over the tofu. Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle salt and pepper powder over the tofu.
- Place the bamboo steamer in the pan, keep the bowl in the steamer, cover it with bamboo lid and steam for 15-20 minutes. If the water in the pan evaporates put some more water in it so that the chicken gets cooked completely.
- Serve hot in the steamer itself.
