Spinach With Prawns Prawns cooked in spinach By Sanjeev Kapoor 11 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fresh Spinach Leaves, Prawns Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Spinach With Prawns 1 medium Fresh Spinach Leaves 36 Prawns peeled and deveined 2 tablespoons Oil 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf) 1 large Onion sliced 1 teaspoon Ginger paste 1 teaspoon Garlic 1 1/2 teaspoons Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 6 medium Tomato pureed to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder Method Heat the oil in a kadai; add the mustard seeds and fennel seeds and sauté till the seeds begin to splutter. Add the onion and sauté until they begin to colour. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste and sauté for one minute. Add the coriander powder and chilli powder and sauté for one minute longer. Add the tomato purée and continue to cook till the oil separates. Add the spinach and cook till the leaves begins to wilt. Add the prawns and salt. Cook, uncovered, for six or seven minutes.
