Ingredients
- ½ cup green peas
- 1 cup soya chunks, soaked in warm water
- 3 small onion, peeled and quarter
- 2 medium tomatoes, quarter
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1½ teaspoons cumin powder
- 1½ teaspoons coriander powder
- ½ tablespoon garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
- Coriander sprig for garnish
Method
- In a blender jar, add onion, tomato and grind into fine puree and set aside
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the colour change.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add prepared onion-tomato puree, mix well and cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add soya chunks, green peas, and garam masala powder, and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chopped coriander, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
