Ingredients list for Rice Balls With Sesame

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice
  • 4 tablespoons White Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 cup Sesame seeds (black)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Roasted peanuts roasted
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice


  1. Toast white sesame seeds in non stick pan for 1 minute. Remove from heat and set aside. Put ginger, peanuts, toasted sesame seeds, salt, sugar and rice in a bowl and mix well. Add lemon juice and mix.
  2. Cover a plate with cling wrap and spread some black sesame seeds on it. Put a portion of rice mixture on it. Sprinkle some more black sesame seeds on it.
  3. Wrap the cling film into a ball and seal. Prick ball once with a knife. Prepare remaining balls similarly. Cook in microwave for 30 seconds and remove from heat. Let it stand for 5 minutes. Cut seal, open wrap and remove rice ball. Serve immediately.
