Ingredients for Red Velvet Chocolate Cookies-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Red liquid food colour 1 tablespoon

  • Chocolate hazelnut spread 1/2 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon

  • Brown sugar 1 1/2 cups

  • Melted butter 1 cup

  • Sour cream 2 tablespoons

  • Egg 1

  • Egg yolk 1

  • Chocolate chips 1/2 cup


Step 1

Fill a piping bag with chocolate-hazelnut spread and pipe out small portions on a butter paper. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and brown sugar in a bowl.

Step 3

Add butter and red food colour and beat well with a hand blender. Add sour cream, egg and egg yolk and fold in well into a cookie dough.

Step 4

Add chocolate chips and mix well. Transfer the prepared dough in a zip lock bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Preheat oven to 180˚C.

Step 6

Divide the dough into equal portions, stuff each with the chilled chocolate portions, shape into balls and place on a baking tray.

Step 7

Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 8

Serve with milk.
