Ingredients list for Red Velvet Chocolate Cookies-SK Khazana

  • 1 tablespoon Red liquid food colour
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Sour cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips


  1. Fill a piping bag with chocolate-hazelnut spread and pipe out small portions on a butter paper. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and brown sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add butter and red food colour and beat well with a hand blender. Add sour cream, egg and egg yolk and fold in well into a cookie dough.
  4. Add chocolate chips and mix well. Transfer the prepared dough in a zip lock bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 180˚C.
  6. Divide the dough into equal portions, stuff each with the chilled chocolate portions, shape into balls and place on a baking tray.
  7. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
  8. Serve with milk.
