Ingredients list for Pukshan Odai Marina Erra Kutta

  • 500 grams Prawns
  • to taste Tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 small Onions cut into roundels
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 2 medium Tomatoes chopped

Method

  1. Wash and devein the prawns. Season them with salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and gently sauté onions until soft. Add mustard seeds, when they start to splutter add the marinated prawns. Sauté until the prawns are well cooked. Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes.
  3. Reduce heat and cook for five minutes more. Serve hot.
