Ingredients list for Pear Bread Pudding
- 2 Medium pears
- 2 Fruit buns
- 2 tablespoons Vanilla custard powder
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoons Raisins (kishmish)
- 6 tablespoons Sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Take vanilla custard powder in a bowl, add milk and mix till smooth. Pour into a deep non-stick pan and cook, stirring intermittently, till thick.
- Quarter pears, remove core and slice roughly.
- Heat butter in another non-stick pan, add pear slices and saute. Add raisins and 3 tbsps sugar and mix.
- Slice fruit buns and spread one layer in a baking dish.
- Add remaining sugar to the custard and mix.
- Put the sautéed pears over the bun layer in the dish. Place another layer of fruit bun slices.
- Pour the custard over and tap the dish lightly so that custard drizzles to the bottom of the dish.
- Serve warm.Keep the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot.
