Ingredients list for Paunk Na Wada
- 1 cup Fresh Green Jowar
- 1 1/2 cups Gram Flour
- 2 tablespoons Yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- a pinch Soda bicarbonate
- to taste Salt
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to deep fry Oil
- 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
Method
- In a large bowl combine besan, yogurt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, soda bicarbonate and salt along with three fourth cup of water and whisk till smooth to make a batter of dropping consistency.
- Add paunk, chopped onion, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and drop teaspoonfuls of batter in the oil. Deep fry on medium heat till golden and crisp.
- Drain onto an absorbent paper. Serve hot sprinkled with chaat masala.
