Ingredients list for Pasta with Meat Sausages
- 200 grams Farfalle
- 8 Sausages
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
- 2 medium Onions finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Red wine
- 1 1/2 bottle Arrabiata sauce
- as required Crushed black peppercorns
- 15-20 Fresh basil leaves
- 3-4 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
Method
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan. Heat sufficient water in a deep non stick pan. Place a silicon colander in it and put the pasta in it. Add salt, cover and cook till the pasta is just done.
- Add garlic and onions to the pan and saute. Halve the sausages and put into a chopper and process till well minced. Add red wine to the lightly browned onions and cook till the wine is reduced.
- Add arrabiata sauce and mix. Rinse the bottle with a little water and add. Add minced sausages to the pan and mix. Add 2 tbsps water and mix. Add freshly crushed black peppercorns and adjust salt and mix well. Tear basil leaves and add.
- Drain the pasta and add to the sauce. Add extra virgin olive oil and mix well. Put into a serving bowl and serve hot.
