Ingredients list for Palak Puri

  • 2 cups Wholewheat Flour
  • 1 small Spinach
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tbsp + to deep fry Oil


  1. Blanch spinach leaves in boiling, salted water. Drain and make into a paste. Mix the palak paste with atta, add salt, one tablespoon of oil and knead into a semi-hard dough. Keep the dough covered for about ten minutes.
  2. Divide into sixteen equal sized balls (pedas) and roll into four-inch diameter puris. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the puris on medium heat. Drain onto an absorbent paper and serve hot.
