Ingredients list for Oats Apple Crumble
- 3 cup Oats
- 4 Large Apples
- 1 cup Castor sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 2 tablespoons Raisins
- 1 1/2 cups Butter
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 3 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons Almond slivers
Method
- Preheat oven at 180° C.
- Core and roughly chop apples, place them in a bowl, add castor sugar, cinnamon powder and raisins, mix well and set aside.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add brown sugar, mix well and cook.
- Add honey, mix well and cook till the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Transfer the butter mixture into a bowl, add oats, flour and mix well into a crumbly mixture.
- Spread the apple mixture in a baking dish and top it up with the oats mixture spreading evenly. Sprinkle almond slivers on top.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Serve warm.
