Ingredients 

  • 1 button mushroom
  • 8 slices of bread Loaf
  • ½ medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • 2 tablespoons processed cheese, grated

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C Chop onion finely. Slice button mushrooms. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and mushrooms and sauté. Crush garlic cloves and add. Add salt and cook till dry and lightly browned. Transfer the mushrooms into a bowl and let them cool. Slice bread thinly and toast in the preheated oven till crisp. Remove from the oven and arrange on a baking tray.
  2. Add cream and cheese to the mushrooms and mix well. Spread this mixture over the toasts generously. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts. Serve hot.
