Ingredients list for Mithai Toast
- 8 White bread slices
- 1 Motichoor laddoos
- 2 Pedas
- 2 Kaju katli
- 2 Anjeer burfi
- 1 cup Orange juice
- as required Butter
- a pinch Cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon Honey
Method
- Pour orange juice in a non-stick pan and cook till slightly reduced.
- Put motichoor laddoo in a bowl and add pedas. Roughly slice kaju katli and add and mash all of them the back of a spoon. Roughly chop anjeer burfi and add and mix well.
- Lightly butter the bread slices, spread the mithai mixture over 4 slices. Cover them with the remaining bread slices and press slightly.
- Apply a little butter on both the outer sides of the sandwiches. Apply a little butter on the inside of the sandwich toaster. Place a sandwich in it and toast over medium heat, turning sides, till golden on both sides.
- Add cinnamon powder to the thickened orange juice. Add honey to orange juice and mix well.
- Halve the sandwiches to make triangles. Keep them over a serving plate, drizzle the orange juice over them and serve immediately.
