Ingredients list for Mexican Chaat

  • 20-25 + few for garnish Corn Tortillas
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 cup Corn kernels boiled
  • 2 medium Potatoes boiled and chopped
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 1 large Tomato chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons Green chutney
  • 3-4 tablespoons Sweet date and tamarind chutney
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Keep yogurt in the refrigerator to chill. In a large bowl combine crushed corn chips, corn kernels, potatoes, onion, tomato, jalepeno, two tablespoons of green chutney, three tablespoons of sweet tamarind chutney and salt and toss the mixture well. Add chilled yogurt and mix well using a spoon or a spatula.
  2. Transfer this mixture onto a platter, drizzle the remaining green chutney and sweet chutney on top and serve garnished with crushed corn chips and fresh coriander leaves.
