Ingredients list for Melting Moments

  • 1½ cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 60 grams Icing sugar
  • 40 grams Cornflour/ corn starch
  • a pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup Corn flakes

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with a silicon mat.
  2. Take butter in a bowl. Add icing sugar and mix well. Sieve together flour, cornflour and salt into the bowl and fold in well. Add vanilla essence and fold in well.
  3. Transfer cornflakes into a plastic zip-lock bag, seal and crush with a rolling pin. Spread on a plate.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
  5. Coat each ball with crushed cornflakes and arrange them on the lined baking tray.
  6. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
  7. Serve.
